ICA Workshops

ICA announces 3 workshops to be held in parallel from lunchtime on Wednesday 26 April to lunchtime on Friday 28 April at Warsaw University of Life Sciences.  The three workshops are promoted by the ICA Board Education Committees.  The overall title for the Workshops is Enhancing Student and Industry Engagement in Life Sciences Higher Education. The individual Workshops are:

1)  Workshop Title: The Student Engagement Challenge

2)  Workshop Title: Engaging with industry to ensure that graduates and professionals are well prepared for employment in the Bioeconomy.

3)  Workshop Title: Embedding student challenges and competitions in sustainable entrepreneurship education

You may be eligible for financial support under the ERASMUS+ staff mobility training funding available through your university. Details of this funding opportunity can be found here

Consider making a short presentation to the discussion.  A call is open for you to present a Case Study or Short Intervention in each of the Workshops.  Details of this opportunity is indicated in each Workshop programme and a summary of the call is made here   The deadline for submitting a Case Study or Short Intervention is Monday 3 April.  The possibilities are highlighted in the attached Workshop flyers.

PhD training school on “Forest Management and Biodiversity Across Europe”

The Forestry subject area of the Euroleague of Life Science (ELLS) together with the Graduate School in Production Ecology & Resource Conservation of Wageningen University, is organizing a PhD training school on “Forest Management and Biodiversity Across Europe” in Bialowieza, Poland, from 10-17 September this year (2023).

This post-graduate course aims to bring together a diverse group of lecturers and participants to study and discuss current issues in management of European forest resources. Attached please find the announcement for this course with further information.
